my teach said i would never get a job with the way i write........
1. its chicken scratch
2. i always shorten my words....even in essays
(ur, u, sry, btw, )...she hates it

lol, i plan on going to college and getting my masters in music education....i kinda want to be a composer too but i havent written anything yet.....
all you need to write is a couple of dots with sticks on them......and the occasional italian words.....

My problem with the whole text speak is.....that adolescents use it when typing a 1000 word essay is free, and not when every letter counts in a 160 character text (which is what the typing style was created for).

In text messages, i can entirely see where it could be useful, In an international forum where there are people to whome english is not their first language (like this one).....it is an ignorant affront to our society.

Ha ha, there's some truth in that - I got through my cello studies without writing much more than my name, a few single letters (e.g. T, S and D), some numbers, and of course musical notes. If you go for music education rather than performance, you'll probably have to write some papers, though...

I also play the piano - that was obligatory at the music college, and it was the main instrument when I studied music therapy. My skills on other instruments are rudimentary at best.
