I thought about putting this in the culture forum but decided it doesnt really fit.

Anyway, what is your favorite Beatles song of all time. Mine is a tie between "Let it be" and "Hey Jude"
Tomorrow Never Knows - it helped change Pop music into psychedelia.

Turn off your mind, relax and float downstream,
It is not die-ing

I think ''Rubber Soul'' is a good album, all of its songs are just great
good selection, i don't think there is a single flaw upon that album.

Come together right now
Over me
Ok, I was just taking a look at the live performance of Come Together, and even though John can't remember a fair portion of his own lyrics he does use "armchair" there. So I'll go with that, it's pretty clear what he's singing....at least there....😛

Actually, technically speaking that is a rather complex track, the way it was recorded in the studio.

I really pity everyone who not a teenager in the 60's...You had to be there.
Wrong. John didn't like stuffed shirts who just go through the motions living a dull and destitute daily by the numbers life, in the end accomplishing little if anything. And there can be no doubt that he certainly had a stong disliking for people telling others what to do and how to act, always distorting and subverting the message of peace and love. In fact this message can be heard in almost every song, on every album. Like you said you had to have been there.

Right on! As the years went on, I understood that Lennon's songs were better and more topical to the times. After all he started the band and well deserved the leadership role. Thats putting it mildly.

Yes. There is a lot of metaphysical and cosmic crunch to Johns songs.

You had to be there....

Lennon, Jagger and Dylan. These were our role models in the 60's.
They changed everything, practically over night.

World leaders, politicians, and anybody else who didn't seem to understand the views of the majoraty at the time. It went beyond the Beatles, it truly was a noble cause for him.

well if it makes you happy...any phony self-absorbed stuffed shirt with half-a-brain greenpawn.. what yeahboy said. John's music was timeless and had potent social and political content.
