This thread has nothing to do with the Prose competition.
So you all are really going to be writing novels? Is this what you want me to be believe?

To take it from the beginning...

This is how we might start a possible novel.

Chocolate, chocolate! My kingdom for some chocolate!

He poisons every thread but what awaits him is the stuff of nightmares.

The classic Snoopy:

It was a dark and rainy night.
Dark and stormy, in fact. To be precise:
It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents — except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets (for it is in London that our scene lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness.
— the opening line of Paul Clifford, by Edward Bulwer-Lytton

By the way, has anyone here heard of The Bulwer-Lytton contest? If not: https://www.bulwer-lytton.com/ , and http://adamcadre.ac/lyttle.html .

That's a great beginning of a story!

lemon what awaits us all is the stuff of nightmares, we will all lose people in this Covid-19......Funny how you try to stick with the little group in the public thread, not so much in the P.M.'s I've noticed! 🙂 Would that make you a hypocrite?

He was so distracted by all the noise that he walked into the wall and crumbled to the floor.
