The Rec system wasn't really a blunt instrument to inflict pain. By its nature a rec is subjective. Who are you to say which posts do and do not deserve recs.
my brain works fine thank you. I don't know how many times I have to tell people this. But I don't mind telling you since I don't really know you. I only support what Russ did. I think it was the right decision even though it has been a difficult one, I asked Russ and he said I had no Bering on the decision he made to stop the rec system. I asked him this because I had been badgered by the forums constantly after the fact and wanted it to stop. Chris told me that Russ even sent Phlabibt a note to lay off. But apparently he forgot to inform everyone else. I am only repeating what Russ told everyone in the site announcements if you care to read. Now let me ask you something. Who are you to go against the wishes of what Russ the site administrator has told the forum users what he wants? Would that be alright with you if I supported what Russ has done, per the suggestion of Hopscotch, Nordlys and a few others?

I didn't know you had approached Russ directly, although I'm hardly surprised by this example of patheticness. If you are getting grief, then maybe look at yourself first before running to others.
Russ runs a superb site. If everyone emailled him about every issue, it would be impossible to operate. If someone is making your life hell by PM contact him. If not I wouldn't bother.
However, if you can't win an argument you should leave it. Its a shame that so many interesting people no longer post. I too can't really be bothered with "general" anyone more - which is just a bit a shame and that's all.

It might just be me. But I feel the quality and quantity posts of Moldy, Shav, Freddie, Starrman, Rag and even No1 has been reduced in recent times.
Anyway, I admit that saying people no longer post was inaccurate. I personally feel the arena has changed for the worse. See my post on page 2 with reference to Recs being a little bits of love.
In a way this site ia a reflection of society. We are losing freedoms to make our own minds up as big business and government starting instructing us how to behave, what to say, what to eat, what to wear, how to drive etc. Common Sense is being sacraficed for the sake of the few who didn't have it in the first place.

Moldy is away at the moment and Shav is back (haven't you noticed?!) Freddie only posts what he thinks his RHP chums will laugh at 😛. I think No1 still posts in debates.
The forums were bad before Red Night so I don't understand why everyone is on his case. I was away from RHP for a few month and must of missed a chunk of something.
Some people used to be funny and nice but now they're just different and go around the forums like they're on a mission. I don't understand it....that's a shame.
There are still lots of great people around on RHP.
