my point is :

1. the french used to bother to wear nice clothes in public.
2. France was far better off without the large amount of Muslims it has now.
3. france was mainly only will to harm one jew ( dreyfus ) instead of all the
jews they are bothering now.
4. France had the largest army in europe at the time and thus was capable of
stopping the Germans had they had more forward thinking generals ( not Petain ).

You have been persoannly to France when?

Last time I have been there (this summer):

* French wore nice clothes in public.
* France was pressed by overstretching their budget since at least the financial crisis of 2008, but probably much longer.
* Frnace has also a history of anti-semitism, and there have been a lot of French helping to deport jews and laying their hands on busnesses during German occupation in WW II. Look up a relevant book some day.
* Framce have de facto lost WW II before the UK and the USA saved their ass. And yes there was resitance, but it was much less well loved at the time than after the time, when everybody turned out to have been in the resistance one way or another. France would also have lost WWi, if not for the British support.

There is not much black and white in hstory. Everybody who tells a story without shades of grey
