Then we can agree to disagree. You probably DID make the humorous quip for the reason you offered, which was that you were referencing something private in your head about Greek Gods and a "paradise", and THAT was the vein of humour running through your mention of the city.
Oh don't capitulate. That's no fun.

Gosh.
Gosh?

This is more or less what you said: "I often reference Bradford and do so with the implication of it being a paradise on Earth, despite never having been there. Indeed, my published work had the Greek Gods relocating from Olympus to Bradford, primarily for the Yorkshire puddings."

THAT was the premise of your quip about Bradford.

"Capitulate"?

I told you Bradford was the setting for one of my books. You don't think I researched the area?
You say you "researched the area" but you also say, you are "guilty of having zero knowledge of the ethnic/racial makeup of Bradford."

I did and I don't. The ethnic/racial makeup wasn't relevant.

The distinction was between 'the gods' and the 'inhabitants of Bradford,' and the impact one had on the other.

Good luck with the book.

Shall we go to the Caribbean?

No, let's go to Bradford / Possilpark / Toxteth!

Shall we go to Chamonix Mont Blanc?

No, let's go to Bognor Regis!

Riffs.

"Where did you see U2 play when you got to see them? Slane Castle? Lansdowne Road? The iconic Ivy Rooms?"

"No. Hemel Hempstead Town Hall."

Wrong Gooster Again!!! 🙂

The low calories, high protein and fibre content make parsnip a go-to option for diabetes. In addition, parsnips are high in fibre, which helps with regularity, digestion, blood sugar control, and heart health. Parsnip also has many other health benefits. Jul 12, 2022

Anyone who's had anything to do with Alcoholics Anonymous or has had to help alcoholic friends, as I have, will have heard of it if they have a joined-up knowledge of the issue.
@fmf,

Dry drunk syndrome is a term that AA developed. They used the term to refer to people who no longer drink alcohol but experience the same issues or behaviors as when they did. Many now consider dry drunk syndrome to be a stigmatizing term, as it can imply that a person is not putting in the effort necessary to recover. May 24, 2022

I do not have that issue as I recovered 32 years ago as far as I am concerned! So you are full of B.S. saying in the public forums I am a dry drunk. You don't know enough about the Topic, so you should stay away from it! 🙂
