The Toronto Blue Jays locked up John McDonald to a 2 year contract today!

Great now all we need are a couple of starting pitchers, a centre fielder, a DH, a 3rd baseman, a catcher, a new manager and a new GM...Championship here we come!

I like the blue jays starting staff. BJ Ryan is a big loss because the bullpen would be even better. Vernon Wells is a nice player but they overpaid and he is having an awful year. However, at least on paper, it is a long way for reaching the Yankees and Red Sox.

blue jays have pretty good starting pitchers in Halladay, McDowan, Burnett, and some pretty good young pitchers
