It takes a level of maturity to get that. 😉

The realization hit me the day I had a door held open for me and the person called me sir, instead of buddy.

You’re a young spirit in a mature head on older shoulders,
no...you’re a young mind in an average aged head on mature
shoulders, no, that’s not it, hang on...you’re a young thinking average
guy with the mind of a very mature child-like mediocre man. 😏

Believing we are young doesn't make us younger, and we know that we were different when we were young. It is a good feeling knowing we have had our share of all ages. With children and grandchildren around, we can't fool anyone, and why would we even want to try? 🙂

It must be hard to face getting older with depression. I have a distant older male
acquaintance who had a face lift and one who still runs along roads even through
it gives him joint pain. Then there are a number of 60+ men who holiday in Thailand and the
Philippines, who pay for the attention of young women in bars.

So sad - obsessed with age and obsessed with themselves. They don't see what else there is to make a good life and much time and opportunities have been wasted.

- My uncle was 83 and wanted to marry a girl of 19. The doctor said, 'This could be fatal.’ He said, 'If she dies, she dies!’
- Somebody rang my wife and said, 'I saw your husband on the beach with a blonde on his arm.’ She said, 'What do you expect at his age – a bucket and spade?’

[My mum used to cut chicken, chop eggs and spread butter on bread on the same cutting board with the same knife and no bleach, but we didn't seem to get food poisoning..
Our school sandwiches were wrapped in wax paper in a brown paper bag, not in ice pack coolers, but I can't remember getting E.coli Almost ...[text shortened]... mber that life's most simple pleasures are very often the best.
