Is this competition still going..?
Well.. here are my votes in any case..
To My Readers
The writer illustrated his/her understanding of the competition’s theme “Pretension” with every word of every sentence of every paragraph. If the name at the end wasn’t mentioned, I would have thought he/she was God talking about one of their Holy Books.
The peace has surely “widened my horizon”.
The Floating Girl
Beautifully written and full of imaginations. Throughout the piece I found myself relating to the heaviness the narrator talks about. I too “herein, find definition, a place to call myself me”. Beautiful.
The narrator might have been unable to dance, but it sure made my thoughts and feelings dance throughout. Very well done.
A Walk on White Lake
“he is taking be out” did you have flue when you wrote this? 😉
I love the simplicity and flow, its gripping from the third word. Dramatic, strong and straight to the point. No messing around. Superbly executed.
It was a tough call trying to judge between such a wide variety of writing styles.
Very well done to all for your time and effort. And not to forget the host of this competition, Mr. hopscotch for organising it and making it such a success.
When does the vote finish? or have I missed the deadline?
(EDIT; Ignore that.. just seen the very first post.. do'h..!)
