ghandi has a good man but not a true seer of reality so you have to understand he had limits to his observations...he went thru a hunger strike when he thought that would make the indian muslims and indian hindus stay together after the raj came to an end...he failed...it would have been obvious to an outsider that such a proposal was going to fail..also ghandi said that he thought non-violence would have worked against hitler...another total mis-reading of reality...also ghandi said that the reason his non-violent acts worked in india ( and not south africa where he started, got beaten badly and left ) was that the british were a CIVILIZED PEOPLE...
