a person who habitually drinks a lot of alcohol. The word was coined by Miles Coverdale (1488-1568) in his translation of the first complete printed English Bible: "Kepe no company with wyne bebbers and ryotous eaters of flesh" (Proverbs 23:20). It is rarely used today except for humorous effect.

I think Brittany Murphy has been a brunette - wasn't she as that patient in the mental hospital? But Juliette Lewis would work too.
