Seldom. I can't risk it, who knows what it might be up to.
We had to wear ties are this job, but our group all noticed Mitch had even less variety in his wardrobe than anyone else. He always wore white shirt, black pants, solid black tie. Every day.
We asked him about it one day, thinking he'd tell us he had a whole closet full of the same outfit. Turns out stranger than that. He had only one shirt, on tie, one pair of pant, AND, one pair of socks, shoes, underwear. He wore them every day and washed them every night. He said if one component of the outfit wears out, he throws them all out and buys a whole new set.
Naturally, we asked "wouldn't it be easier to just buy some extra clothes". His answer was that is was to emotionally burdensome to wonder what was happening with the unworn clothes.
I'm not sure what he *thought* the clothes might be doing while he wasn't watching them, but I've always loved telling this, and other Mitch stories.
