Found it: Gothic Lolita http://tinyurl.com/ytkn5a I'm dying to know if this is just a youthful quirk (and one that has passed) or if this is actually common.
What you really want are pictures of hot Japanese goth girls, right? I'll see what I can do, but I won't promise anything...

Kind regards,

I found out what most of these are, but what are Manjiyaki and Judon?

No, I have never been to Japan, although it has been a dream of mine since I was a child.

I will also envy you fer sure. FWIW, I've recently used this site for a trip to Barcelona and got some great feedback in their forums from locals and tourists. Maybe you'll find something useful

Manjiyaki is like Okonomiyaki but it is more cheese based. IT actually does not look tasty but it is good...

Judon is the main NOODLE of the Kansai area, whereas Soba is the main one of Kanto. Judon is like a thick spagetti noodle very good.

Also recommend trying Japanese Curry. not so spicey but good.

You Nihongo is good so> I would not worry. Most people love to chat with you nihongo de.

Food is God in Japan so eat as much as you can. I am sure you know:

Shabu-Shabu.. Defo eat that . tasty and healthy..

and in Osaka go too Tsuruhashi and Eat Yakiniku: Korean Barbeque..

VERY TASTY.... and if you have the guts..try Nama LIva.. Raw Cow Liver...
very good... love it..

Arigatô. I don't eat niku though, so I won't try things like shabu-shabu (nama liva might be different enough to be worth trying). And it's unlikely that I will go to Osaka, although who knows.

So far I find it very cheap. Today I had a huge bowl of ramen for 800 yen (about 5 Euro). You wouldn't be able to get any warm meal for that in Bodø. Public transport is also much cheaper here than in Bodø. However, flats apparently are horrendously expensive, so if you'd want to live here and want to have as much space as what would be considered normal in Europe, it would still be very expensive.
