We know moments which sook the world full of terror and questioning over the next five days i will be saying what i find are the TOP five moments that shook the world.

Number 5.
September 11th 2001-
I think no-one living today can describe September 11th 2001, It was a normal day in the life of New York City.Until......
2 hijacked planes in Boston were set for a new destination..... New York.
Around mid-afternoon the whole world knew the truth about what had happened in New York It was the first real major terrorist attack in All of Historyu this led to the Iraq Crisis and then eventually led To the London Bombings 7/7 2005

If you have any remarks or feedback to this form and you will not lilke me to post anymore please do not hesitate to ask so.

Well, you're certainly entitled to your own opinions, but I think September 11, 2001 shouldn't even be in the top 50, if you consider the past 3000 years or so of human history.

Damned americans when they launched the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
The falling of Berlin wall.
Assasination of Gandhi.
Assasination of MartinLutherKing.
Assassination of JFK.
Those were things which certainly shocked the world,I don't know in what order of importance however......

If people would have known just what was to come I'm sure Neville Chamberlain's declaration/acceptance of war speech would have been top. I'm sure I would have shat myself at the time.

Shook the world?

The discovery of fire
The discovery of bronze
The discovery of iron
The creation of the abacus
The fall of the Roman Empire
The Black Death of the Middle Ages
World War 1
Nazi Germany
World War 2
- The dropping of Atom bombs on Japan
The Fall of the Berlin Wall
The Collaspe of Soviet Russia
Tienamen (sp?) Square
9/11
The Tsunami that devastated the South Pacific

One that is very slowly being felt now, but will take time to really sink in is the industrialization of the East (China, India, etc...) This is going to have an effect on the world like nothing else has....

Tiananmen

Well the whole Industrial Revolution would count thats changed the word almost beyond recognition it might not be a quick shake but it has enabled many things in the long run.

"The Tsunami that devastated the South Pacific" This shook the world but I don't think it will be remembered as much as some of the other things and don't think it will make so much of a change on global history.

Printing press. What about the founding of major religions?

Your education is scary, I hate to say.

How, in your own words, did September 11 lead to the Iraq crisis?

Why not just post the top 5 straight away, and let us debate them?

In my opinion, the Agricultural Revolution HAS to be the number 1 "moment" that shook the world.

I agree
while it was a sad event, US propaganda made it seem much more horrible than it really is. If you look at the big picture it was rather insignificant. That many people die every few minutes around the world.
