I was once so disgusted by how annoying adverts were getting (particularly McDonald's at that time) that I wanted to start a website where people voted for their least favourate advert. All members would agree that when any of the top 5 were aired they would change channel - the (vague) hope being that if it were popular enough with enough people switch ...[text shortened]... p showing the most annoying ads or lose revenue from the others.
Wishful thinking I know...
I solve the problem of adverts by not watching TV, apart from a couple of documentaries/sport.
My children aren't going to watch TV either. For 1, marketing companies actively try to get your children to be moany little bakstards, because they realised that most mothers give in to a good whinge. No wonder our children are little monsters when they are bein brainwashed by tv to whine and moan and throw tantrums to get things that they don't even know why they want them, except for the pink dinosaur told them they had to have them.
