Some of you may know that the show Jericho was slated to be cancelled but was revived by many fan letters to the network. I was pleased it was renewed, and it got me to reminiscing about good shows that were canned. A few that I've heard spoken most fondly of were WKRP in Cincinnati, Max Headroom, and the immortal Star Trek.
But some of my gone-but-not-forgotten are less well-known (probably why they are gone, I know)--shows like Dark Skies, Profiler, Level 9, and Starhunter. I was wondering if anyone else had some more obscure favorites?

I admire writers who pull the plug before a show gets stale, ie: Ricky Gervais' The Office (a perfect 14 episodes) and Fawlty Towers (12 episodes).
The only reason to extend the lifetime of a show is to make money based on previous strong episodes, IMHO. While I'd love for their to be more Office episodes, I can appreciate the existing ones even more due to the fact that the strength of the episodes was always top notch.
