Anglo-Saxon countries tend to be more critical of self and Mediterranean countries tend to be more critical of others.
That's why when it comes to clubs, Mediterranean people love to read what's going wrong about the other clubs, but when it comes to the national team they don't like open critics as long as a good result is still possible. We'll deny failure until it hit us in the face.
