quite seriously ( is that possible here after 3 posts ? ) quite seriously, who accepts the idea that aliens from somewhere else in the galaxy come to earth and abduct humans to peform medical operations on them ?...
Why would they crash if they could get all the way here from wherever they are? Why would they need to snag humans over and over and be so secretive about it?
It just seems too nice an excuse for Humans to do these things 'fool' people into believing that an alien did it.
It could go either way in my mind, but it seems silly that anyone that advanced would be so sloppy at what they do here on Earth.

yes, the question of motive is difficult to figure out but the problem with the technology to come to earth may simply be a physics we don't understand and the distance may mean little as a barrier...but so many people tell these stories and for some families the visitations occur over several generations...
Originally posted by reinfeldIf you're answering me... generations could also be done by some kind of Earth-bound organization. The physics would be interesting, and if we ever have got hold of it I'm sure it sprouted some sort of burst in our progression as a race in the past 100 or more years.

If there are aliens coming here, I would think they are in their infancy as space travelers doing what we did on the open seas once we were able to build ships strong and reliable enough to travel to lands not yet discovered with confidence.
Though the ships could do it, they did have their problems. Plus the people exploring didn't really consider the ramifications of what they did when they got to a brand new place.
