Yes, really. If you regularly eat the orange ones change to brown for a while and then see what you taste when you change back (or just read the ingredients 😁). I did the experiment though and when I went back to the orange ones I could taste it.
In general I am always suspicious of foods where people have gone to great lengths to get or keep the colour that sells. Like the way they used to paint green oranges to look orange.
