Posted the below in somebody's COVID thread a few weeks ago. All seems a long time ago. To some extent I took up posting here whilst stuck in doors. 7.2 aggghhh. Seems unreal. Maybe half the team will test positive next week. Never saw such a lethargic performance. 😜😆😳

I had it from early March and it lasted 7 weeks. I remember deciding not to go to Liverpool v Atletico Madrid just in case as I had developed a bad sore throat. My wife and daughter realised they got it a couple of days later. It took a couple of weeks for the dry cough, headaches and flu like ill feeling to arrive. By the fourth week you got frequent false dawns where you wake up feeling well and think its done and then by the evening the sore throat, hoarse voice, cough and frontal headaches (probably sinusitis) returns plus episodes of exhaustion despite doing next to nothing. Once or twice I saw some blood that was either from nasopharynx or sinuses, but basically it was mild illness and once our immune systems had seen the virus for some weeks we could reassure ourselves we weren't on one of the bad trajectories. Psychologically we seemed to just adapt to it as our day to day reality.

Some people do get a long drawn out illness that can be quite nasty. A retired GP told me they were also beginning to see the odd patient with bits of damage to various body organs including the brain.

Yes, it is the lingering affects it can have so new that no one knows how long it can hang on. As they study it more they will learn more. I sincerely hope you don't have any lasting affects from it or any of the rest of your family.

We are all good thanks. We have been lucky. It's been bad for so many I think it is important to remember that most will come through fine, but like everybody here we have heard of some tragic losses and some serious illnesses.

Your welcome and good luck! I don't like the part about damage to various body organs including the brain. We have had very young people and even children die from it. We try to do everything we are suppose to, but so have some people we know who got it and someone they still wound up with it. We had been doing good here in Canada for some time but now there seems to be an outbreak out west and in Ontario and Quebec. So far it is low here in the Atlantic Provinces, I am hoping that hold up.

Sorry to hear about your friend's death.

I think early on people were frightened by the misinformation that mild cases would be over in a week. That made no sense to me. The virus is just as novel to your immune system whether you get a mild or a serious illness so I couldn't see why people thought it would always be gone quickly. That reassured me as I did not feel it had to be serious to be dragging on. Now it makes me wonder why all positive tests seem to be counted as new cases. Some may have been positive for weeks imo.

Remember the vast majority will be okay. I know a 90 year old with diabetes who was asymptomatic.

What am I eating. My pride. Worst Liverpool performance I have ever seen (I am 59) 😆😳

Edit: I'm sure that was a reply to Trev. I am in shock.
Great entertainment though 😂

Villa look like they’re playing a different game than last year, crazy results this weekend.

Not exceedingly good?

Greek yogurt with blueberry, kiwi, apple, orange, walnuts, honey & chai seeds. Guacamole and edam cheese on home baked bran flaked bread 😋
