I met my wife because she also liked Duran Duran.
She likes progressive rock and, of course, she is a Yes fan.
She also likes Iron Maiden (Bruce Dickinson had some sex appeal with the ladies... ๐Ÿ™‚) but dislikes Metallica (too violent for her taste๐Ÿ˜›).

Before we got married I listened 35 year anniversary cd compilation of Yes. And I introduced her to Dream Theater music, one of the best progressive metal bands at the moment.

I've seen Steve Howe live in Glasgow, he was awesome. Played in St Andrews Hall, on Berkeley St. I only liked Maidens first album, the self titled Iron Maiden, as soon as Dickinson joined I stopped listening to them, they became operatic,Paul Di'Anno da man! Dream Theater, ill check them out. Have you seen Duran Duran live?

My wife is Peru, South America. And since the last five years a lot of American and British bands are touring this part of the continent. I think this is due to the economical crisis in the States and in Spain.

I love music, I am the silent fan that buys cds but doesn't like crowded places. When I had a chance to see Duran Duran, they were touring the Red Carpet Massacre album, that was not a good album, but the "All you need is now" is a good one.

My wife likes concerts. She has seen Journey (with Arnel Pineda, he is as good as Steve Perry), Big Elf, Dream Theater, Yes and Iron Maiden.

The last Dream Theater album (A dramatic turn of events) is solid one.
Some of these songs are to long to be played on the radio.
These are my favorites (from the last album):

On the back of angels
Build me up, break me down
Lost not forgotten
Outcry

I hope you are not going to be disappointed giving them a try...
