@torunn saidI wonder if Stephen King copied that off of Hitchcock?...Wasn't he always on at the start of it and said something? (Hitchcock) I mean not Stephen King.
@Very-Rusty
You had to pay close attention for Hitchcock too - he was in a crowd somewhere, or crossing the street, entering a door or something like that, for a few seconds.

Only a few seconds.
@torunn saidYes, I think I actually saw a few of those later ones.

Only a few seconds.
Didn't he come on at the start of every show and say a few words, or am I confusing him with someone else?

@very-rusty saidI think you mean his short TV-films. There was a special tune to start the program and then he made a few comments about the film that followed - and then sometimes the husband would bury his wife in the basement.

@torunn saidYes, that is the ones I am talking about where he would say his little bit before the show started. It was indeed on T.V.. I would never miss them.

@torunn saidAnd Stan Lee. His appearances are always hilarious.
Just like Hitchcock - he was seen in all of his films too, in the beginning of the film, somewhere.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidCan you give a few examples?

@torunn saidHe always has a small walk-on part in the superhero films (Marvel).
Can you give a few examples?
@ghost-of-a-duke saidI have seen some of his movies, he is not a well-known actor in Sweden, I think, I like him. But I l love even more Tobey Maguire's 'Peter Parker' and his other movies, such as The Cider House Rules - he is amazing.

@handyandy saidThat seems a very interesting book.
Just started reading Underland: A Deep Time Journey, in which British nature writer Robert Macfarlane explores the out-of-sight worlds beneath our feet.
@handyandy saidI googled him and found that he is a prize-winning author of many books. I will visit the annual Gothenburg Book Fair tomorrow and maybe I'm lucky to find a copy of his latest work.
Macfarlane's knowledge is extensive and his writing is superb. Underland could be a candidate for book of the year.
