A little stress can be beneficial when sitting an exam or attending an interview. It gets the adrenalin pumping and increases alertness, focus.
Small dosages at a time as you mentioned can be helpful. Not the constant day after day kind of stress.
It has been proven that the ill effects of stress far out weigh the benefits, rather you agree or not, it has been scientifically proven. Argue with the researchers who did the research on stress not me. Getting no sleep is also very bad for you!!! 😛 Would you like a list of the problems that can cause?

Not only could I write a longer list than you, I could also write you a prescription. 😲
Sincere regards and hopes that your cheese doesn't go moldy.

Then you IF you are telling me truth know the consequences of strees, and also not what getting proper sleep can do to you! What is title as a health professional if you don't mind sharing with us, since you decided to give that much information about yourself.
I assume it must be a day off for you, or your on the computer when you should be working?
Be more concerned about your own cheese going moldy. 😛
Kind Regards,
Have a great day,

Sir,
I would have to be certified doctor who specializes in a certain field to know that. Even then it may not be conclusive. In my own opinion, I know stress can be a contributing factor for many medical issues we may have.

insufficient evidence indicating that divegeester's treatment of Bobby led to Bobby's current illness. Agreed?

There is not enough information period. I am sure it did not help, that can be the only thing I can be positive about. I would have to have a personal conversation with GB which I probably wouldn't share, with anyone. He would want it that way, I know in advance.
In your debates with GB I really don't think there was any malice. It appeared to me that you really tried to out wit each other. I never saw you to be overly agressive as Dive was. I am guite certain it had nothing to do with you. Then again I am not a doctor, it could have been a combinations of things.
We seem to have a Health person on our forums, who could write prescriptions. Perhaps he could enlighten us more on the subject.
Kind Regards,
Have a pleasant afternoon,

How can you "Postitive" that dives posts had no effect?
Have you spoken personally to GB yourself yet? Do you know exactly what his medical condition is, and what may have possibly brought it on?
Kind Regards,
Have a nice day,

Mix a little of that stuff from out of that baggie into it too! 😉

Lets just leave it at that then shall we. Nice to see you admit he was subjected to a barrage of verbal abuse.

I do work in the mental health field, but that's really all I want to say on that. (Happy to PM though).
Of course stress is a bad thing, both mentally and physically. Was simply giving an example of when a little stress (nerves) can be beneficial. My exam results would have been far worse if I had gone in relaxed and nonchalant. Stress was also a 'revision motivator' for me.
My own sleep issues are not really stress related, although missing sleep does cause stress. (And a plethora of health issues that would bore you senseless).
