What is a siege? How is it different from a normal game? How do you win a siege? How do you lose a siege?

There was a Knight in his castle. Some day another Knight arrived and challenged him. They fought out a joust, the winner now living happily in said castle until a new challenger arrives....

* 2. challenge a siege board (could occur that you have to queue up if somebody came up with the same splendid idea before you.

* as challenger you play white. If you win or draw as challenger the borad is yours to be defended if anybody else comes along challenging you on the siege board

I saw some people are no subscribers but they play sieges (example: blue board 1/0) how do you do that?
