There are some great initiatives on new housing developments for inner city people whereby they can grow a few vegetable on a small piece of land immediately next to their homes. This can create a friendly social space whereby neighbours get to know each other, share or swap vegetables with each other and a helpful way to teach chil ...[text shortened]... rdening and healthy eating. And it can even be managed without the use of pesticides and herbicides.
