I guy I taught with said his son had a good job so nice car and apartment. If his girlfriend wanted to move in that was great and she was free to leave any time she wished, moving in was no long term commitment on his part.

I said hey man your son is very smart.

Exactly. Perhaps at one time things like family mattered but not today. In today's society it is every person for himself or herself. What used to be is no more.
