Most of you on here will probably take exception to this, but I think 'Angels' by Robbie Williams has to go down as the all time best POP song.

Devalued by its own category, but it competing with the likes of 'Too Shy' by Kajagoogoo leaves me in little doubt.

Either "Candle in the Wind", Elton John

or "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by some happy guy, or

"I will Survive" by someone, or

"Super Trouper," ABBA

It's h is age, the boy is still young and foolish. If he thinks like this after another ten years, he shouuld be put into an mental hospital, probably. But I bet he will slap himself silly when he realises his younger years, as soon as he is all grown up! I hope he does...

Skynard is one of my favorites, too. Freebird is an anthem to me. But I'd have to say that the greatest song ever IMNSHO is My Way,a masterful tribute to self-determination and personal liberty. Which is why,of course, the fundementalist crackpots of the religious right hate it.

You bought Confrontation, eh? (Or perhaps a best of album?) If you want a really good Marley album, go find Exodus. In my opinion it's his best. Well, Kaya is not bad either (it contains my all time favourite Marley song "Sun is shining" ), but Exodus is more even. I don't think there's a single track on Exodus that I don't like. 🙂

Quiet! I lead the RHP gang now, and I do say, I may be forced to kick you out. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Yea, that's a good one. And, of course: God save the queen (Sex Pistols).

I liked the Natty Dread album - hah I remember buying it when it came out [vinyl]
- makes you feel old that does. That has No Woman No Cry on it too.

Yeah, but the studio version of no woman no cry is not very good (at least I think so). I like the live version a lot better (album appropriately titled Live!). 🙂

Yea, I had Confrontation on vinyl when it came out. Back then the only Marley song I never got tired of was: "Buffalo Soldier". You know: Oi oi oi, oi oi oi oi, oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi?
