Here is a scenario that involes making an important choice which could one day save your life in a survival situation.
So you were on a plane which crashed into the bermuda triangle and sunk, you are the only survivor.
You find a small island which has no food and have to sit and wait for the rescue.
The only problem is, rescue takes a long time and you are forced to take exreme measures for food- namely yourself.
So this is the critical question, what part of yourself would you eat first. I think personally I would cut any external appendages off to eat first, then would work my way up from the toes. I guess you would reach a point where an arm might need to be eaten too (obviously the left arm which is far less useful). After this, survival might be a bit of a long shot but at least you got to know what human flesh tasted like.
Would other people take a different approach to this problem and eat their body parts in other orders or am I just about right with how to go about it?

Yes it was a short story and particularly unsettling
The story is called "Survivor Type" and the guy is trapped on a deserted island.
