To fry? No my dear man. No and thrice more no. The egg cooking method for the 21st Century modern man is scrambling. With scrambling, a cheeky knob of butter in the saucepan before the mixture is added will ease any sticking-to-pan concerns. Grated cheese is just one example of an additional ingredient that can be added at any stage of the cooking process. And remember - to evoke the wisdom of Delia Smith - remove pan from heat *before* they are cooked to however you like them, for they will carry on cooking in those extra few seconds in the pan after coming off the heat and before going on your hotly buttered pieces of granary toast. Scrambleicious.

While scrambled eggs are good, there is nothing like a good dippy egg, with lots of buttered toast to soak up all of the yellow.

Mmmmm, breakfast.

My weight was up to 327lbs. I have been on the Atkins diet for 3-1/2 months and I'm now 285lbs. My goal is 260lbs. If I can reach that, I would look better than He-man!

My favorite: The "Special" at the Outback Steakhouse. Give it to me rare please!

Something my wife and I make every so often:

Starter: Queen scallops, each wrapped in a slice of bacon, skewered anc slowly cooked over a mesquite charcoal barbcue.

Entree: Large New York steak smother in rub (see below), barbcued and served with a barbcued mixture of onions, zuccini (courgettes for those not in the US) and mushrooms.

Rub: Mince 1/3 cup Malden Sea Salt, 1/3 cup ground black peppercorns, 1/3 cup fresh rosemary, 8-10 garlic gloves. Mix in food processor.

Serve with several bottles chilled, very good chardonnay over dusk, outside with candles. Preferably with friends.

Hmmm.

(Oh, and as far as eggs go, smoked salmon and mushroom omelette!)
