There's a lap dancing club opened today here. Not so long ago two sex shops opened up in the center too. Maybe it's time to move so my kids can grow up in a nice quiet town like this town was when I was growing up.
Or are all towns 'progressing' this way?
Is this just how it's gona be?

I grew up in a village with 5 (five) churches. Maybe 100 (one hundred) people, a small Mom&Pop grocery store. The cross road was the town social center. This quiet CHRISTIAN village would have hung you for witchcraft, burned down a Catholic church, tared and feathered a Latino, not to mention a black. This ideal American hamlet was my home and that of many others. The fact that I was able to outgrow this backround and move away is the accomplishment of my life. My point? Quit worrying about the pole dancing, the pedophile down the way, the bill boards and the other trite stuff. Beware of churches, do gooders, and their ilk. The things to fear in life are the insidious stuff hiding behind respectability.

No!
Originally posted by yo its meMy town has had a lap dancing club for about 3 years. It's not been a big deal after the first 6 months, it's just a place where fools and their money are soon parted! 😛

The only sex shop that has survived here for more than a few months is Ann Summers. And let's not forget that business started in people's homes. Society is more open than ever before about sex, so it's there in most of our town centres in some form.
Have you noticed major supermarkets now sell Durex lubricants and toys on low level shelves? Yet this is confined to the back room of the Ann Summers sex shop.
