No, it's not like that but I'm not going into this further. It's expression we often hear if you want something done, ask the busiest person around you.

It’s easier for me to go help someone else when I really overload myself. That is till I get back to reality and it’s seldom repaid 😁.

I think I might have been the kind of person to ask when something extra or unplanned turned up at work. I was pretty quick and I never thought I was paid to do just my job - I was paid to do a job, not necessarily just mine.

Years ago I worked for a firm that had a union, that in order for me to work there I “had” to join. One day I had gotten my job done and noticed a coworker was falling behind so I went over to help them. The next day I was summoned to have a meeting with the shop steward, who told me in no uncertain terms that I was not to help anyone. That afternoon I submitted my resignation. A couple of days later I got a call from the GM asking me if I’d like a job in the “front office”. I accepted. When it was time to renew the Union’s contract I was part of the management negotiating team.😲

We are off to Cuba on the 25th and close to our resort is a golf course. One of the people that goes with us is also my "Sunday morning", in season, golf mates and we are thinking a round or two might be in order. 🙂
