Morinhio seems to be the fans favourite but i can't see the FA (being the backward stupid bunch of *$^£'s) hiring him, he's too high profile for them. Look at all the scoldings they handed him when he was a Club manager, they'd never be able to keep him under control and lets face it, they never pick someone they can't mess around!
Who would you like to see? If not Morinhio, then perhaps an ex-player? Looking around at ex-players who turn manager, i'd say there's a case. Klinsman for Germany springs to mind...
Klinsmann would be a good one. He got germany back on top with exciting play for german standards since decades.
Hiddink should do as well I reckon, but he's engaged with Russia.
I would say Mourinho. Just because of his high profile. He could be the one to change things.
Here in Holland Louis van Gaal (now AZ) was fishing openly for the job.

does it really matter, any half decent manager will get as much from the english team as possible because none of the big players really care about the national team - and naturally these same players can't be dropped in fear of loosing the next game because the media will single handely lose the coach his job if the rooney's, lampard's gerrard's are dropped for the game in question
