Don't be discouraged. You're on our list for consideration, but we still need a sample of your belly button lint for fragrance analysis. You'll be hearing from us soon.

Why are so many regulars afraid or ashamed to post a profile?

When I play a game or read an interesting post that I want to respond to, I often go check the person's profile. Too often I am rewarded with "So'nSo sob hasn't written a pro ...[text shortened]... or able to write a profile is already more self-revelation than that person is comfortable with![/b]
To give you what you ask
    is indeed a monumental task.
Maybe another sip from my flask
may give me the courage to slip my mask.

There are those here once, twice and thrice.
Some are good and others not so nice.
This is why I joined a private club
and now comes a sideways rub.

The public fora is where you'll find the trolls.
That's just the way it rolls.
From here I will flee and fly.
A conversation I would no longer try.

    My visits here are rare,
try the private clubs, you'll find me there.
Take yourself away from this evil place.
It's full of nutters and utter disgrace.

I'm pretty sure the witness protection program is preventing most of us from posting an identifiable profile.

Having said that, I am pretty sure Jimmy Hoffa is still here somewhere..

Thanks johnny, I see you have a pretty succinct but informative profile.

I don't know any other private clubs, but thanks for the tip.

In fact anything you post in some way represents what you are and how you think.
I couldn't come up with a lot of things people do post in their profiles.

The same is true of course for their postings to forums. They can only post what is encompassed in their minds.

And playing the fool is not that easy, it takes a real fool to do it convincingly.

Btw, is that really you in your profile? (Please forgive my ignorance if it is really some well-known film star or important persona that you identify with...)

That is really me in the profile. 🙂

I would love to talk about Sufi philosophy, but my posts tended to get buried faster than I found I could respond. Part of that is really my own fault. My focus is back on school again. Hopefully winter break will allow me enough time (between filling out grad school applications) to participate more.
