Even while not always game active here, I use the Games Explorer. Imma still working on theory. My people skills
are no better probably worse.
You know that thing in your brain that keeps you from speaking your mind? I don't have one. Imma arse and in my old age the old arsehat is now grumpy too.
But I enjoy this site, even though as Duchess pointed out other sites are far better as far as bloggers, problems, and IMO ease of use.
-Removed-Conversation with a man down our road who it turned out played chess. I remembered playing for about a year at school and liking the game. Decided to learn it properly as a retirement thing so he recommended joining this site as a way of playing games. Decided to subscribe when I saw a tournament that had been entered by a player with a Man City avatar of similar rating.
As a subscriber decided to find a clan so looked at GF and read some posts of people in clans. Started posting in GF just as COVID arrived and the world locked down. Have met some good people and I seem to have lost the directions to the out door.

@moonbus saidYou kid no one moon, you're here because you love it! As you know many other chess sites out there. Just none quite as good as this one especially if you enjoy some bantering in the forum threads from time to time. Some good competition here too.
RHP is my favourite waste of time.
I only wonder about players over 2200 rating, although it is quite possible. Perhaps here to try out things they been working on for tournaments OTB.
