can't you just use the last restore point on your XP? I think XP makes a new restore point every week so you won't lose too much data.

I just bought a new one with Vista. Once you do all the updates Vista is more interesting than XP.

I'd switch to vista if you have the option. Alot more user friendly.

FDisk kills the logical drive PERMANENTLY. It will get rid of viruses, spyware and *most* malware, but it's a bit drastic.
