Holy Sweet mother of Effing Jesus.

How can my wind screen wipers have worked yesterday and today they're as dead as a Saddam?
How is this possible? And does anyone know how to fix them?

Got any twine?

Tie a piece off to each blade, and tie the blades together also.

Run one end through your left window, and run the other through the right window.

Now, when you pull on one string, wipers go up, pull the other way and wipers go down.

Repeat.

Off you go.

Cut a potato in half and wipe it over the screen; it'll clear any water that hits the screen.

Well that's what matey down the pub reckons anyway. 😀

Did you check if a fuze was out? It's a good possiblity. You said it was working one day and not the next. That's the first thing to check. It would be under the dash or in the engine compartment and there is a key as to which is which imprinted on the fuze box lid usually.

That's some good advice, but I'd prefer to see him driving down the road holding 2 strings.

Well if he didn't want the windshield to get wet he could just cover it with a piece of cardboard.....

Well.
I found a small cupboard with multi-coloured plastic things in it. But, as far as I can see, there's no way of knowing which one of the multi-coloured plastic things belongs to the windscreen wipers.
So, I'm gonna have to go to a garage tomorrow if I don't commit suicide this evening.

Thanks for the help.
