I know, I know.... I hate all the computer questions also, but I really need help right now.

How do you put a Word document on the internet? I need to post my resume and have no idea how. It says something about an html address but I really don't know what that means either 😞 So, a little help, please.

do you actually want it on the net for others to view? if you want to post it to someone then email it.. just attach it to the email...

i think that is what you mean, i dont think you would want to display your resume on the net as it holds all your details and anyone could view it

If you are using M$ Windows XP - try this, click start/all programs/accessories/windows explorer/file and folder tasks.[on the left but if you can't see that, click on the folder icon at the top]
And then follow the Web Publishing Wizard directions.
In the process you have the option to share or keep it personal and it finally gives you a URL to link it.

The online application asked for an internet or html resume address. Its a REAP site if any other teachers know of it. My resume is a word document.

there surely must be web sites who specialize in hosting resumes. something where you cut and paste your resume into whatever posting tool they have and then you could choose to make it public or private and they supply you with an url to give people. sort of like a private myspace page just for the purpose of pointing people to your resume.

I don't know if such services exist, but if they don't, they should. someone could make a good deal of money with something like this, especially if they marketed it to become the premier site to have your resume on... everyone would use it.

precisely - MSN or your own ISP probably gives you some free webspace.

okay... you'll need to open up the word doc in word then save it as a web page, this will save it as a html file which will allow you to do it
