Funny thing about posting messages. Yesterday I posted a message in one of my games saying, "You are so evil!". I thought I was being witty and warm to my opponent. Opening up the possibilities of a new friendship based on our intellect and respect for each other.
But what came back was a complaint. He said, "What do you mean by that?"
Well, I have to tell you... I have to tell everyone here at RHP. If a person sends you a joke and you don't get it, then the joke is ruined if they have to explain it. But I tried to explain anyways, hoping that this new contact and I still might be able to have a new friendship. So I replied that I had sent the message in friendship. You can imagine how that went over. His reply to me might as well have said, "Don't EVER talk to me again!" 🙁
So let's talk about this. I'm thinking that there are people in the world who don't have a sense of humor. Why are they like that? Do you think it's because their dad beat them? Maybe their mommy beat them? Hell, I dunno, maybe they can't see anything as funny because they never laughed as a kid.
Help me out here.

not that I had one... no, no, no... carry on. nothing to see here... nope. not an evil-master-plan-for-world-domination bone in my body... just idly doing my thang here, for no particular purpose...

I hope not.
