Your Favorite Chess Piece and Why...

Boots on the ground: The lowly pawn because it trudges along, an unsung foot soldier, carrying royalty in its knapsack.

Rook - because like me it doesn't have a waistline. 🙂

Rooks and bishops! The bishop is so speedy and the rook just seems to move so heavily but she gets the job done very nicely. 🙂

I prefer knights over bishops any day of the week 🙂

The clock. Imagine the power each time I stop my clock and start my opponent's. Einstein would drool over it.

Nice choice of a piece. Mine would have to be 2 Rooks and a Queen.

What do you use to make the 2 bishops into one piece? I tie mine together with twine. I used to glue them, but that ruined the set.

What's gray and white on the inside, and red and white on the outside?

Hi yim! 🙂
Beats me, but his remark made me remember that.

Seriously: The elephant is the russian's name for the bishop.

Edit: Just noticed that they explained that on the link I gave. 😳
