Thanks man, I'm downloading Tarot Sport now, unfortunately some lame seeders so it's very slow.

Is there anything on your list that you'd recommend that's nice and guitarry and drummy, but not too noisy and shouty?
You mean like folky strummy or rocky strummy?

Wait - you said drummy.

Try out Polvo!

Also, I would suggest the new Flaming Lips and "New More Stories Are Told Today..." by Mew

Rocky and drummy with tempo changes that make you sit up and take notice.

(delete whichever element is just asking too much)

OKAY! Disregard post above this one, unless you post at the same time as I do again.

4. Grizzly bear - Veckatimest
5. Fever Ray - Fever Ray

10. Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix - Phoenix

I'm sort of struggling with Dirty Projectors - Bitte Orca, though. Not sure how I feel about it.

Loving Tarot Sport, but just started listening to it.

I like the song arrangements and vocals a lot. It helped that I was a big fan of their last LP as well.

I haven't listened too all that much new music from this year but these are a few that stand out for me.

Moderat - Moderat
Fink - Sort of Revolution
Bill Callaghan - Sometimes I wish I were an eagle
Yacht - See mystery lights
Omar-S - Fabric 45
Massive Attack - Splitting the atom
Clark - Totems Flare
Booka Shade - The sun and the neon light
Ratatat - LP3
Bon Iver - Blood Bank EP

Not sure if 10 years down the line I'll be listening to any of these albums the whole way through, probably more likely to be picking out some favourite songs.

1. Rome - Flowers From Exile
2. Rodrigo y Gabriela - 11:11
3. Medeski, Martin and Wood - Radiolarians 2
4. Secret Chiefs 3 - Traditionalists: Le Mani Destre Recise Degli Ultimi Uomini
5. Converge - Axe to Fall

I still have to check the new Transatlantic and Katatonia, which might be good as well.

You need to listen to some Planet X.

I'd like to amend my list to include Tarot Sport and also Atlas Sound's Logos album.
