Moderat - Moderat
Fink - Sort of Revolution
Bill Callaghan - Sometimes I wish I were an eagle
Yacht - See mystery lights
Omar-S - Fabric 45
Massive Attack - Splitting the atom
Clark - Totems Flare
Booka Shade - The sun and the neon light
Ratatat ese albums the whole way through, probably more likely to be picking out some favourite songs.
The Yacht album was excellent, yes, as were the new Clark and the Bon Iver EP.

On Bon Iver, check out his collaboration with Collections of Colonies of Bees under the name Volcano Choir, not least for an alternate take on the fantastic "woods" from Blood Bank. He also released the last Bon Iver set 'for the forseeable future' as a podcast the other week...

Saw YACHT play in '08 -- he was one of the best one-man shows I'd ever seen. Incredible stamina and non-stop dance moves and choreography worthy of a pop-star. 😀

I can't think of a single album that came out in 2009. I've probably listened to a few, but I can't associate this year with anything. It's true! Utter vacancy behind the eyes over here.

Edit: and I give less of a toss about new music with every day that passes. I am an old fart.
same here. i've probably bought less music this year than any year since i was 15. i can't decide whether i'm too busy, too lazy, too jaded, or too complacent. i have to admit, with just about everything i hear, it sounds kind of recycled.

There is new music that is still refreshing and innovative, in contrast to the bland rock music that seems to dominate even the "alternative" circles these days. Have you heard Coil's 2005 album The Ape of Naples?

I'm still lagging behind. Anyway albums need to stand the test of time(which is relative to me).

Seems I barely own 10 albums made last year, but I'll give it a shot:

William Basinski - 92982
Hildur Gunadottir - Without Sinking
Tim Hecker - An Imaginary Country
Evangelista - Prince of Truth
Polywechsel & John Tilbury - Field
Ben Frost - By the Throat
Kevin Drumm - Imperial Horizon
Sunn 0))) - Monoliths and Dimensions
Soap & Skin - Lovetune for Vacuum
err... does 5 Years of Hyperdub count?

Rowland S. Howard -- Pop Crime

Sneaks in ahead of the pack.

Oh, Tim Hecker has a new one out, have to check that one out.

The Sunn O))) album was interesting, but maybe they could use a touch of accessibility. I'm very interested to see what the upcoming Ulver/Sunn O))) collaboration will sound like.

Roulette by Cicada. A brilliant album and Cicada's second brilliant album. Sadly I think I'm the only person who's heard of them.
