Thanks, Steve. Your niece coined an endearing nickname. Little did she know it at the time that it would go global.

    the opposition

we had four guys from our chess club form a chess team to play in a team championship once. There were two white an ...[text shortened]... ng team once though. They were always drunk so I suggested "The Alley-coholics". They used it 🙂
As a matter of curiosity, how did you arrive at "blunderdog" as your site nickname?

Just a play on the Underdog cartoon. I make blunders and I rescue dogs. I also use anywhere from 9 to 16 Dog Knight as a nick on other sites, depending on how many rescues I have at the time.

I used 'Opposition' 12-13 years ago on this site. Came back later with another nick recently, left for several months and couldn't remember my password when I came back so I created this new name. Not doing as well as I did before. Turned 60 years old last year so I'm not as sharp as I used to be.

Big Dogg - "Dogg" from working with wannabe-gangsters years ago. "Big" because that's more intimidating. "Problem" because that's what you have if you play against me; also, I like chess problems.

I have been asked more than once on this site if I chose my choice of drink. So sorry to say it is just a very boring ID. My initials. The 1552 is a random number which had identified me on another site where I was using my first name. Did not know there were so many Audreys around!

I joined this web site specifically to play against LARF and we had been FMF and LARF for some years on another chess web site. The reasons behind the names LARF and FMF, as far as I recall, have never been divulged except for in PMs or in game chats.

Lillemor, imagine how different the past seven and a half years would have been if I had chosen: Svenska Pojke?

Edit Note: Or is the singular, "svensk pojke"?
