Raise your glasses.....

General

I had trouble getting the prizes to the two winners of my contest. Mainly RHP has no way to extend a subscriber's subscription! 😠 I contacted the two winners and asked for their advice. Here are their replies:

Hi Steve,

I did it more for the fun than the subscription, so I would be perfectly happy if you know of someone else who could benefit from it. Paulbuchmanfromfics is a regular "real content" contributor to the "Only Chess" forum, and has had some medical issues in the past, so I think he might be a reasonable choice. I'd also be fine if Greenpawn34 knew of someone who could use a kind gesture.

Thanks a bunch for the thought and the intent!

Hi Steve.

Under the circumstances, would you please use this website to donate to a very good cause, as you can convert the amount precisely?

Best Regards mate..

Mike.

So please raise your glasses with me for a toast to a couple of guys who are a class act in my book:

Us 99%'ers wanna know where OUR fair share is! Cough it up, FatCats!! 😠

Hi

Greenpawn just informed me of this thread (and the wonderful gestures by all involved). I think this is great what you are doing. I am also honored to be mentioned.

I really do love the game and enjoy posting on the site, but luckily, I don't need a paid subscription to do all this! I'm happy having posting ability, and the six game limit is good enough for me. (In fact, I get myself in trouble with too many games. My OCD and anxiousness kicks in, and I bite off more than I can chew in a short amount of time.)

Tournaments and ladders are great fun, and there are other reasons to support this wonderful site with a subscription.

I think I will sadly pass on the free sub myself. Thanks again.

It is truly wonderful to even be considered.

As Tim Sawyer puts it, "God Bless And Good Chess"!
