I have finally decided to go ahead with this round. It still won't happen if I don't get enough entries, so get your picture editing software out and start working on it! This round is a bit different from previous rounds because it's not purely about photography. But it's still a photography competition, which means that the original picture needs to be a picture you have taken yourself. If you add something to it, you don't have to limit yourself to your own pictures, but please observe the copyright. "Advanced editing" can be anything from pasting objects into the picture to distorting it.
You can enter up to three pictures for voting. Additionally, you can enter pictures you would like people to see and comment on outside the competition. Pictures in that section will be displayed on the same page, but people won't be allowed to vote for them. It's entirely up to you to decide which pictures you want to have in which section (voting / no voting), as long as you don't send more than three pictures for the voting section. Send your entries to rhpphotocomp@gmail.com , together with the following information:
* Title
* Comment: Normally we have a rule that advanced editing has to be mentioned, but obviously this doesn't apply in this round as all pictures will have been edited. If you want, you can explain what you have done, but if you'd prefer to let people figure it out themselves, that's also fine.
* Your RHP nickname (that won't be revealed before the round is over)
* Which section the picture should be in (I'll assume it's for the voting section unless otherwise stated)
Please keep the file size under 200 kB, and the picture shouldn't be higher than 1024 and wider than 768 pixels (I'd suggest 800x600).
The deadline for entering is Saturday, 21st October, 18 UT. Let me know if you need more time. In the non-voting section, pictures can also be added later.
The pictures will be displayed on my webspace. You can choose to have your pictures removed when the round is over. You can also choose to leave them there, but have your name (real name or RHP nick) added.
If you are new to the competition, you might want to have a look at previous rounds:

Just so you know, if you enter this contest it must be a picture you took with a camera, and you can edit it and paste into it any way you like.

Originally posted by huckleberryhoundI haven't done much advanced editing myself, so I am not the best person to ask, but I'd start by playing around with the picture software you use - try what happens when you use special effect filters, figure out how to use different layers etc.
can someone teach me how to advanced edit ??
