I had a game with him a long time ago when he first joined. I started helping him with his thread questions and he sent a game over and we played and discussed the game. I think that's why he isn't hostile towards me because I was trying to help him from way before.

If these four people disappeared tommorrow, I wouldn't give it any concern. Oddly enough, all of them have something peculiar to their characters that totally irks me big time. But, all of them clearly have one common trait which is annoying: they always attempt to respond to my posts in the threads to discredit or belittle me. I think it may be a personality incompatibility in the works. I don't really care that much. But, I think they just don't have lives.
There is one last theory I have come up with lately. It does seem odd that these four people are mostly un-American. I don't think any of them are Americans, so that might explain some of the hostilities also. However, I use to think Kiwis were pretty cool people. When I was in Australia, they were kind to Americans. I've never met a Kiwi so idiotic as Xanthos. As far as Ravello, I can completely understand why Italians don't like Americans. After Mussolini and the Mob, I think all the people throughout time can attest to the fact that Italians are pretty much fiesty and have tempers to propel a steam ship. As for Freddie, I think he's just... ahemmm... so it's understandable. His comments towards me are pretty much like his choosing a pair of high heels in the shoe shop.
Dottewell is a strange case. I think the only reason her comments haven't be as aggravating is because she is a woman, and of course women are often more polite than men... and that goes for every country... even when they are not thinking well of you, you sometimes often never know the truth. There are always exceptions to the rule, but I am expressing these terms in the general sense.
As for me, I don't care one way or another. I like the attention. I feel very important. I can write a thread on any subject in the world as long as it resides in the correct forum, and I'll get responses (whether bad or good it doesn't matter) from the FOUR HOURSEMEN. Yeah, Rahim, but I find it difficult to find other 1600-1800 players in the normal every day world. But I do find the "four" horsemens posts very amusing and get a kick out of them everyday. They are also very active in the forums and hence they post in threads everyday. Actually I should say I find Ravello's and XanthosNZ posts funny. There other two just aren't the same.
It just wouldn't be the same without those fun remarks.
BTW, Most of the world hates the US. It's amusing that the people in the States don't know this, but everyone else who isn't american know this.

Here are some names of people who completely lack a sense of humour, who wouldn't know science even if kicked them in the ass while wearing a lab coat and holding a test-tube, who are self-important to the point where they believe they actually matter in the grand scheme of things, who play the victim card at the drop of a hat (or any article of clothing really):

4.) sonhouse
If these four (or at least the three remaining) disappeared tomorrow I'd direct the police to the wrong part of the swamp to dig in. Strangely enough, all of them have something different about them that irks me. But, all of them have one common trait which is annoying: they never seem to understand that no one cares what they think, who they did last summer, what crappy personality they beat at chess and what they believe this means for their rating or how Jesus loves us all. I think it may be the fact that they just don't understand that the universe (and hence this site) doesn't revolve around them. I don't really care too much. I think they just need to get a grip.
There is one last theory I have come up with lately. It does seem odd that three of these people are American and the remaining one American in all but name. I used to think Americans were ignorant gits. When I was in America I was proved right. I had to restrain myself from correcting someone who referred to the sealions in San Fransisco Bay as 'fishies'. No they weren't four and no they weren't talking to someone who was four. RBHill, the consummate (I suggest you look it up RB) evangelist. There are a group you'd get along with on campus here RB, they've been banned from the university grounds at least twice for cult-like behaviour and I've personally witnessed a group of them hurling abuse at a couple because they were guilty of being the same sex while holding hands. And you know what makes them so similar to you? Once they realize what kind of mindset they are dealing with people stop listening to them.
Powershaker, you know exactly why I can't stand you. There's two reasons really. You don't seem to grasp that ability leads to rating not the reverse. You also don't seem to grasp that what you believe the Bible says does not trump hundreds of man years worth of scientific discovery. In fact you don't seem to grasp much. I guess you should thank god we've evolved far enough that we don't still live in trees, you wouldn't last long, not being able to grasp a branch to save yourself.
As for sonhouse, I don't know where he got his education but someone somewhere along the way should have said, "Look you blithering buffoon, stop pretending you know the answers already and listen to me while I explain why you are wrong.". Mokko is different because she is a woman and everyone knows I hate women with a passion that itches like that rash you get between your thighs after swimming in the ocean. She's also whiny, "My children are annoying", "My baby's daddy beats me", "People make fun of my duck-like lips". Shut up already.
As for me, I'm belligerent, sarcastic, cutting and superior to every last one of you in every single way. I know I can enter any thread and make fun of something or someone because no one here can match my wit, my insight or my intellect.

I heard about what you were saying about the four horsemen from a good friend of mine who is also a member of redhotpawn. I think you are absolutely right about the fact that they are just a typical example of the jealousy the rest of the world has about the land of the brave.
I think perhaps though that you are wrong about xanthos because he is a true defender of democracy and if you get him in a corner he will give you support when you need it. Sometimes I guess he misses home, because he is actually only living in new zealand since he was 12 and he is actually also from the USA like us.
As for Ravelo, dottewell, and freddy2006 I think you are right about them. It seems like you got 3 out of four, a good average success rate if you ask me. So the four horseman have become the three muskateers! If you deal with ravello you should be very careful because he has friends in high places if you know what I mean. dottewell is sort of like freddys sidekick and they're both like... ahem... "special freinds". You should be careful if they send you any messages because they are very tricky and have tricked me three times in the past year. Oh, and you're wrong about dottewell too because you think he is a she. The three muskateers are all boys.
anyway, I've said my peace, If these rotten apples bug you again and you need help then just sned me a message and i'll be happy to help. I have dealt with them many times in the past so I know all they're weaknesses.

What a joke. I hate to say it Powershaker, but you're definately not a 1700 player if your games look like that. Moving pieces into en prise, missing zwischenzugs, very slow development, no grasp on the importance of rooks on open files, missing knight forks 2 moves away, creating weak squares, missing queen forks completely.
Maybe you should spend your time more wisely. Instead of talking smack in the forums, and mid game, why don't you try learning about chess. It'd be much more constructive, and everybody wouldn't think you were a complete A hole.
Just some friendly advice.
