Your deletion of such a game offer, when you were complaining of your invites being deleted smarks of gross hypocracy!

As you sow, so you shall reap, my friend[/b]
(a) Yes, that was kind of helpful

(b) I was not in the mood to play you at the time, I therefore deleted the game

This is entirely different to the cases I am complaining about.

By deleting those 3 games which you accepted you have prevented me from playing others or at least delayed the sstart of these games as I have to create the invites again.

And as regards your messages to me - thinking I am arrogant and that you needed to make some kind of a protest - is tantamount to an admission that you DELIBERATELY deleted 3 of my games to teach me a lesson ).

Could Admin please get back to me regarding my harrassment allegations.

Thanks

My friend, it is you that seems to be harassing me not the other way around. For my part I am trying to play you a friendly game and may I suggest that instead of making groundless allegations you actually try and focus on the chess.

I have no desire to get into some sort of vendetta with you or anyone else.

I have not complained yet about your possible harassment of me but I assure you if you don't desist and get on with playing chess instead of complaining about who will and who won't play you I will make such a complaint.

Talking of mood, why issue open invites if you are not "in the mood"?

Perhaps if you focus on the game you will get to 2000 and playing black against the Grob is surely a good chance to take rating points from someone graded 400 above you at present.

You yourself saffa73 are conducting harassment by deleting others challenges. You are also making a mockery of the long-established tradition of playing players rated up 200 points within your rating.

How am I harassing someone who challenges me???? I never asked them to play me!

It's a totally different scenario to what I am complaining about.

And 'long-established tradition of playing players rated up 200 points within your rating' - Ummm never heard of this one...anyone else?

What tradition? I'll play anyone I please. If I choose to accept a game from someone more than 200 points below my rating that is my choice. If a player rated more than 200 points above me chooses to accept a game I create that is their choice. Tradition? Codswallop.

The TOS stipulates that any game under 2 moves can be deleted without ratings being affected. When people delete Open Invites it is done so to main some "posterity" in the Open Invites section. Why are you discriminating against those 1500-1799? Are they not "good enough" for you? Why can't you set over 1600 like everyone else in your shoes?

Yes I know there are cowboys who target those 400 points below them to gain easy rating points. One player I will not name posts tonnes of Open Invites, and deletes all bar the lower rated ones. Whilst this is not against the TOS, is it ethical?

Who said anything about targeting anyone? I said that if I want to accept (go look the word up, it has nowt to do with targeting) a game invite from someone lower rated that is my choice. Likewise if a higher rated player wishes to accept a game I have created, he is not targeting me! He may think that I am easy meat and will help his rating, alternatively he may just be looking for a game! Either way, it is my own fault for standing in the way of the steamroller if I get beaten.

While on the topic, does joining a tournament in which one is guaranteed to play lower rated players count as targeting those players? Maybe some people just like to play chess without this constant worrying about their rating. Oh dear, that's a rather heretical statement, isn't it?

Have you looked at the OP's Open Invites? They are all targeting people upto 500 points above him. There are zero (0) go and look up what this means - for those within 200 points within him.

If the majority of your games are with players whose rating is more than 200 points above/below yours there is no need to play rated games. You may need to look at the facts before opening your big mouth to spew BS

What does the Elo rating system do to rating more than 350 points apart?

Is the answer "I don't care"?
