hmmmm, at the moment it seems that whites open file doesnt offer much hope. While it does cover all the way into blacks base, there are no targets, I think white needs to do some probinb first (make some pawn weaknesses etc) as of the moment I like trading off the white bishop on d5 because if Qxd5 then Rc5 wins the bishop. If exd4 then both sides have isolated d pawns blacks favorable kingside pawn structure has been equalized. Plus the white will now have BOTH open files and with some careful knight manuevering white may be able to get a rook or two safely on the 7th (or even 8th) rank
so...
20 Bxd5 followed by the forced exd5

is it a good thing for me to see the same thing Rahim sees and for the same reasons....I smell improvement 😏
Qxd5 Rc5 attacking both pieces. Now exd5 make so much more sense!
This is the 3rd simple mistake I have made in this game so far...
Time for me to move on soon. Cable's going bye bye so maybe I will get back to chess again. Only time will tell.

Sorry Rahim, gotta drop out of this effort. Picked up 4 classes this term (in addition to work and family responsibilities). Too much to think about, I will have to focus on my own 4-6 games if I can. Thanks for the great thread though.

I think the game is half over, 35 move total if I recall correctly.

One day again.
21. Rc5 prepares to double rooks with R1c1 next move plus this gains a tempo by hitting the undefended bishop. Also Qb4 eventually looks fun but probably not a good idea...more accurate is probably 22. R1c1
21... a6-defending the bishop..defending with the queen seems to be useless (waisted move) and any other move limits its options.l
25.Rc5 a6 so that the Black's Bishop can remain on a4-e8 diagonal so that it can keep covering d7 from the eventual Rook on c7 after Rec1, because of White's knight on e5.
I dont think this will stop the Rook reaching c7. If our aim is to keep the rook from the 7th rank may be 25. ... Bc6 is best.
