odd....i guess white is going for mate rahter than seccuring material...
31. Nh4 "forcing" mate
31....Rxd5...stops immediate mate due to insufficient pieces...but now white has a passed pawn and the (if Bg4 then Nxg4+ hxg4 Rxd8 Rc1+ Kf2 and white is comfortable)

fxe4--not dxe4 cause black will also have a passed pawn
Bg4-looks useful, perhaps it will aid in protecting the king

EDITE: BTW what are the dollar $s for by some of the moves in your annotation. Did everyone get those moves wrong?
