Well he wants the rook on the 6th rank so that it defends his c6 pawn, so it might as well be on an active square like h6 rather than f6. Basically he's looking to mate Kramnik if Kramnik looks away for a second and lets Topov's queen on the h-file.

The PGN does not match the Game History playback. The problem starts at move 18 where I (white) move a rook. The PGN shows I moved the kingside rook (18.Rf1-d1) but the ga ...[text shortened]... advise. I like this site already, but am suddenly fearing data corruption.

Take it to the help forum. I haven't noticed anything, and I wouldn't suggest you base your opinion entirely on one game.
