Start a new thread for this. I just had a look and the PGN I got matched the game.

Well he wants the rook on the 6th rank so that it defends his c6 pawn, so it might as well be on an active square like h6 rather than f6. Basically he's looking to mate Kramnik if Kramnik looks away for a second and lets Topov's queen on the h-file.

Dunno... doesn't look like Kramnik has any plans to play kingside any time soon to me. Looks like he's concentrating on queenside... and probably planning to come in with Qf8. But now black offers rook trade....

Ahh,... never mind... they played the moves already....

Oh this could be really bad.

The PGN does not match the Game History playback. The problem starts at move 18 where I (white) move a rook. The PGN shows I moved the kingside rook (18.Rf1-d1) but the ga ...[text shortened]... advise. I like this site already, but am suddenly fearing data corruption.

Take it to the help forum. I haven't noticed anything, and I wouldn't suggest you base your opinion entirely on one game.

Surely Topalov's pressure on the k-side has to be of some importance here?

Yes, I think Kramnik's inviting Qh5, meaning trading the c pawn and the h pawn. But taking the knight first.

I have the game open on the FIDE site now, with Fritz looking at it. F8 says it's about even at the moment.
