I agree with you. Although No1 accused me once of using assistance in the only game I beat him at. I put it in Fritz afterwards to see if he was correct and it did have a high percentage of matched moves. However, both of us followed the database for about 20 moves.
I never accused you of using an engine and you've beaten me in more than one game.

Indeed! Qd6 is the move just about every human says.....the engine/game move is very odd from a human perspective 🙂

Given the chance to hit the rook with tempi and threaten lots of nasty things or putting the queen oppsite a rook no matter how undeadly it might look......hmm hard choice 😉
I looked; the rook treat is not a real treat. White can easily deal with both of them with the simple 26. Qe2+. I think white's 26 looks odd (odd, not un-humans-like), it lets black do exactly what he wanted to. In reality, both the moves do the exact same thing, there is no advantage, to my understanding of chess, either one has over the other.

Engines are pants at minimal material endgames, basically the tree pruning algorithm relies on finding moves that are so poor it can quickly work out that it doesn't need to calculate their consequences. In the case of K+Q v K+ R almost every position evaluates to the same score of +4 (depending on what value the engine gives to the queen and rook) as a ...[text shortened]... the number of legal moves. So it's not a surprise that Fritz couldn't find the checkmate.
Here's an example of an engine user using a tablebase in a K+Q v. K+R+P: Game 1185140

I tried to post my records against previous banned players
to point out, that GauravV was using a weaker computer programme and/or was only using it some of the time, but my post was automatically removed. Don't know which word(s) triggered the auto mod system 🙄

In any case. I understand why some players find it difficult to believe
GauravV was getting outside help, cause he was not playing nearly
as strong a game as other players who were asked to leave the site...

All this talk about wanting but not getting evidence and wondering if he was a cheat happened when Exy was banned.

Well, you did send me a pm saying that most of my moves matched fritz. But I apologize if I'm mistaken... and I'm glad to know I beat you more than once! 🙂 You're pretty tough.

Most of my moves match Fritz i.e. about 60% here and a little over 50% in my OTB and timed games. You happen to play opening systems that I'm throughly familiar with; switch to the Caro-Kann or Winawer as Black or the Rossolimo as White and I'd be screwed.😞

That's not a cheat accusation arrakis. That's a comment. I've played a few games with upwards of 85% matches. And I've played games with matches lower than 50% (including drawing with Yozzer a week before he was banned while barely matching an engine which I thought was humourous).

And I was waiting for this. I've got 5 games against him currently.

Ha, yes, I just went through it - although just is an understatement I had to download 230 odd Mbytes of tablebase files to do so - and he chose the moves which gave checkmate quickest all the way through...
